If you suspect a text, email or call might be fraudulent, never hesitate to contact a bank, financial service provider or known organisation on a number you trust, such as the one on the back of your payment card or on their official website. Find out more on our Advice page.

Remember:

A genuine bank will never contact you asking for your PIN or full password.

Always question uninvited approaches and never give out personal or financial details, in case it is a scam.

Always call your bank using a number or email address that you trust.
